This project was a new challenge for SNL Building as it involved working with the client to develop a commercial space that was architecturally interesting and yet functional as a Long Day Care Centre. The space is operational as a 106 place Childcare Centre.

The Hub’s ethos for childcare is about heart and vision – the space could become an extension of home for the families and children. With the assistance of the architectural team, our construction team and the client’s vision, this build was a great success.

Situated in a central location in Newcastle, The Hub Waratah is your child’s home away from home where from the moment you are greeted at the door by their warm and friendly staff, you are made to feel a part of their family and can sense the wondrous world of children’s imagination and self-expression.

The Hub is passionate about educating and nurturing the children, promoting and expanding their individual abilities, and extending their interests.

The Hub educators and children alike share a passion for the natural environment. They love spending time cultivating in the garden and caring for their three silky hens, becoming excited when they see eggs that have been laid or new plants growing from their seeds.
